This series is taken from a Light Novel written by Kotoko Ayano and illustrated by Chinatsu Morimoto, published in 2016 by Kyoto Animation. Only two volumes have been published at the moment and the series appears to be still ongoing. The first season of the anime has been available since January 2018 and was broadcast by NHK (it has 13 episodes plus an OVA).
We just have to wait in these few months for further updates for the next season of the spokon and, of course, on the precise release date of the anime. In the meantime, it is possible to recover the entire first season of the subtitled anime available on Crunchyroll.
The plot:
The story opens with Minato Narumiya starting her freshman year at the local Kazemai High School.
Mr. Tomio, instructor of the Japanese Archery Club, wishes to recruit Minato, as well as his childhood friends Seiya Takehaya and Ryohei Yamanouchi. Ryohei convinces the reluctant Minato to participate in the orientation of the Club, where he also meets Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi.
Locating Minato, Mr. Tomyo introduces him as a rare Japanese talent in archery and asks him to demonstrate his skills in front of everyone. However, Minato’s arrow fails to hit the target because of a serious condition … Minato, Seiya, Ryohei, Nanao and Kaito.
Japanese archery unites them. What will they achieve as they struggle through their beautiful, but “bitter” youth?
