Sad outcome that has had Simona Halep in the WTA 250 de Washington which is taking place this week. After debuting with victories in the tournament a couple of days ago, the Romanian had to withdraw injured in the middle of a duel against Anna Kalisnakaya when they were fighting for a ticket to the quarterfinals (7-5, 2-0, Ret). Simona, who had just reached the semifinals in the three events that she played on the grass tour, will have to start over from scratch this summer.
