Calvin’s club Shamrocks FC said: “It is with heavy hearts and disbelief that we must deliver the news that our player Calvin has won his angel wings. He was an amazing kid, a wonderful player and teammate who had the world at his feet. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this terrible time. RIP CALVIN, you will never be forgotten”.
His school, Redeemer Boy’s School (RBS), also paid tribute to the young man. “The tragic death of our esteemed 6th grader, Calvin Curley Gray, has shocked and saddened us all. Calvin was a valued student of RBS, whose friendly smile endeared him to all. His presence will be sorely missed by students and staff in the days, weeks and months to come. The thoughts and prayers of the entire RBS community are with Calvin’s family and friends.”
