A Drouais judoka on a world podium

Dreuse. Nacer Nouasria, a DAC judoka on a world podium. What a track record! The Drouais, Nacer Nouasria, is once again on the podium of a World Judo Championship.

Of course, at 64, it is among veterans that the Dac judo teacher in Dreux shines. But it remains an exceptional performance that he has just achieved in Krakow, Poland.

e Consecutive Medal for Veterans

In the U7s (60-65 years old) under 66 kg, he finished on the podium in third place. He first eliminated a Romanian, before losing in the semi-final against a Brazilian. Then, it was by beating a German that he won this superb bronze medal.

This medal is all the more beautiful as it is the fourth consecutive at world level won by Nacer after two other third places and a second place. Note that in the spring, Nacer had already finished third in the European Championships.

Another Drouais, Christophe Le Pestipon, was involved in this competition but, injured, he could not defend his chances and was eliminated from the start. The Drouais made the trip with a judoka from Houdan, Fabien Denissel, who trains at the Camus gymnasium with them. This one finished 5 e of his competition after narrowly losing for the bronze medal.

For 2023, the Drouais judokas have already checked the dates of the European championships in the spring and the World championships in the fall. The destinations are not yet decided with certainty. It will be Denmark, Brazil or … France.
