Argentine Mena tries to get into the center draw of San Diego tennis

The Argentinian Facundo Mena will try to enter the central draw of the San Diego tennis event, in the USA, when he faces the Czech Marek Gengel this afternoon-night, in a match corresponding to the second round of the Californian tournament classification .

The player from Buenos Aires, 29 years old and located in position 127 in the ATP world ranking, has no history of confrontation with the Czech Gengel (388).

In the first round of qualifying, Mena defeated American Keegan Smith (356) on Saturday night, by a tight 7-6, 7-6.

Instead, Juan Pablo Ficovich from Buenos Aires lost in the opening round of the classification and said goodbye to the championship that takes place at the Barnis Tennis Center in San Diego.

The native of Berazategui, ranked 126 in the ATP, fell to the young local (21 years old) Govind Nanda (367), with partials of 6-3 and 6-1.
