Arthur Theate sends a superb long shot to score his first goal on the European stage

Arthur Theate scored his first goal in the European Cup this Thursday evening! The Liégeois opened the scoring for Rennes against Cypriot side Larnaca in the 29th minute of play. The opponents of Rennes quickly responded with a goal from Oier four short minutes later.

Theate will probably remember his first European pawn for a long time and for the occasion he took care of the finish. He fired a nice long shot that Kenan Piric, the opposing goalkeeper, couldn’t do much about.

This is Theate’s second goal with Rennes after scoring against Ajaccio in Ligue 1.

The meeting ended in a 1-2 victory with forceps since Assignon scored the winning goal in the 94th minute!
