Antananarivo, September 1, 7:40 am – One more distinction for Mathias M’Madi. The best player of the last Afrobasket U18 was named “Most Improved Player” during the “Basketball Without Borders – Africa” camp, reports the Malagasy Basketball Federation. Mathias M’Madi was named by the trainers as the player who made the most progress during this elite camp for young African players organized by FIBA Africa and the NBA.
His Ankoay teammate, Lovasoa Andriatsarafara also stood out. According to the Malagasy Basketball Federation, the captain of Ankoay U18 was selected among the players to participate in the final test match at the end of the camp.
The BWB Africa camp which took place in Egypt ended on Wednesday. In all, 64 young African players from 24 countries considered to be the best received training and advice from trainers, notably from the NBA. Test matches were organized to conclude the four days of training.
After the BWB Africa camp, Fiba Africa and the NBA will organize another camp for young African players. The Fiba regional youth camp will take place in Madagascar between October 11 and 13.
