Considered the best tennis player in history, Federer has made it clear that he likes the flavors of the world, but that Peru is special to him. In 2015, in an interview with the Swiss media “Bazonline” he said so.

“I love trying different foods from around the world. Indian, Mexican, Oriental… I have a good stomach. Eating is one of my hobbies.” The one from Basel sorts his favorite cuisines by preference. “Swiss is number 1, then Italian, and third is Oriental. Now I’m very fond of Peruvian food, which is very different, but I love it.”

In 2019, the Peruvian tennis team faced Switzerland for the Davis Cup, but Roger Federer was not part of the Swiss team that came to Lima. The photo that accompanies this section is for reference.
