The doctor Lilia Cedillorector of the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP), highlighted that beyond the health benefits, sport offers the opportunity to mature emotionally, since it strengthens us, teaches us to be disciplined and to know ourselves, for what is fundamental in the life of man.
He recognized the enthusiasm and motivation of the athletes gathered at the BUAP Arena. He stressed that the athletes of the institution contributed to the Maximum House of Studies in Puebla climbing the rungs in that national fair: position number 9 of 283 classified universities.
The athletes were Fernanda Torija García, bronze medalist in karate do; Adrián Pérez Sánchez, bronze in boxing; Luis González Martínez, bronze in boxing; Itzel Valiente Cruz, silver in archery; Martha Cristina Salas Rojas, silver in archery; Ashley Muñoz Flores, silver in fencing; Natalia López Salazar, silver in archery; María Ximena Fonseca Arriola, silver in weightlifting; as well as Victoria Cruz Romano and Alma Concepción Céspedes Flores, gold medals in karate do and university wrestling, respectively.
Likewise, Dr. Cedillo made the symbolic delivery of 22 uniforms to the members of the fourth division soccer team, who will have their first game on September 17.
On the other hand, the rector of the BUAP received the medal of the Institutional Benefactor, by the Militarized University Sports Pentathlon, of the XXI Puebla Zone, for her contribution and support to its generations.
In the delivery of this medal, José Encinas Sánchez, commander of this school, pointed out that the BUAP is the alma mater of the Pentathlon in the state of Puebla and in more than eight decades of existence of this group, today the work, trajectory, ethics, professionalism, humanism and simplicity of the Rector Lilia Cedillo.
