Crisis in Offenbach: Kickers have no money to kick out the coach Sports

These kicker(s) just can’t do it…

Regional league team Offenbach only manages a 2-2 draw at newly promoted Freiberg. Already given eight points against the small teams. Already six points behind leaders Ulm.

Will the OFC never rise again?

Although the bureau has pumped in plenty of cash for years, promotion has been missed time and time again.

Before this season everything was turned upside down again. But after just a few weeks there is new chaos on the Bieberer Berg.

The focus of the criticism: the new coach Alex Schmidt (53). The team was already trying to talk to the presidium because the coach would not communicate enough.

BILD learned: During the conversation, President Joachim Wagner informed the players that Schmidt had to continue because they had no money for a third coach. After all, the fired Sreto Ristic is still on the payroll.

Schmidt: “It’s all cleared up. We are one. I don’t want to burden myself with negative things, but rather focus on the upcoming games.”

In large parts of the team you see it differently. And the fans accuse the coach above all of the many changes. In Freiberg, Maxi Engl suddenly stood in goal instead of David Richter.

Engl promptly blundered at 1:1 when he caught a goal from the middle line. Schmidt defends him: “He was surprised like all of us. He has trained hard and is now gaining confidence.”

Peace never comes in Offenbach.
