Sjoerd Bax (Alpecin) won the 75th edition of the Coppa Agostoni on Thursday, surprising all the favorites who arrived at the finish line in Lissone in a select group of nine cyclists. The 26-year-old Dutchman opened his record by beating Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) in the sprint. The Lombard Triptych continues on Monday with the Coppa Bernocchi and ends on Tuesday with the Tres Valles Varesinos.
