Decathlon presents its team of athletes for Paris 2024

Since the summer of 2021, the giant Decathlon is an official sponsor of Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024. In addition to this partnership, the sports giant has just unveiled an unprecedented Team Athletes, a roster of 33 athletes from different sports.

For your team athletes, Decathlon is surrounded by 25 athletes and 8 para-athletes, including 15 women and 18 men. On the programme, 21 Olympic and Paralympic medals and 21 different sports: judo, rowing, fencing, breaking, basketball, athletics, climbing, etc. To form this unique team, all the athletes were recruited in collaboration with French sports institutions, including the ANS.

Paris 2024 is the perfect opportunity for Decathlon to bring together champions who share the same values: respect, team spirit, sharing, self-improvement and authenticity. “Convinced that the passion for sport is transmitted through shared emotions and experiences, the brand accompanies and supports them in their preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024”, as revealed by the brand in a press release.

Teddy Riner, captain of the Decathlon athletes team

Teddy Riner, multiple Olympic medalist judoka, takes the lead of this Team of Athletes and becomes the official captain. An unprecedented partnership, driven by the desire to create a team made up of experienced champions and athletes who dream of a first participation in the Olympics. To this end, Decathlon will support Captain Teddy Riner and the other athletes during their preparation and in the heart of Paris 2024.
