Donovan Mitchell has been presented as a new player of the Cleveland Cavaliers, in a press conference in which he has been asked about Ricky Rubio. In the Cavs he will coincide again with the point guard from El Masnou, with whom he played in the Utah Jazz, and for whom he had some interesting words:
Oh my colleague. I call him Jesus. He’s got his hair cut now, but when he was in Utah he had hair and all, but he’s a guy that really helped me with everything I just said. He really helped me. In the small details of my work. As for my role. As for my game. Just seeing him lead the team from that point guard position… Taking on that role with the youngsters. I didn’t know what it was like to play in the NBA and he taught me those little things about the game. I am eternally grateful to Ricky Rubio and delighted to be with him again. He’s a little older now, but he’s still that happy, fun guy I knew. I have gone to Spain to see him and I was with him, so coming back here and playing with him again is something special for me»
