The Elective General Assembly of the Beninese Baseball and Softball Federation took place on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the Conference Hall of the Beninese National Olympic and Sports Committee (Cnos-Ben). At the end of the work, Fernando Atannon was reappointed president to continue the projects started for new objectives.
A new four-year term for President Fernando Atannon who will have to continue the pending works and start other projects for the influence of the discipline. “I have the development of baseball in Benin at heart and I was offered a second chance,” he said as soon as he spoke. “We are going to redouble our efforts to be able to do better compared to the first term. With the executive office which has just been set up, we are going to get to work to promote baseball and softball in Benin”, indicated President Fernando Atannon before placing his mandate under the sign of victory. For the President, there are steps that have been taken throughout the past mandate and it would be nice if these steps bear fruit during this mandate. According to the re-elected president, the most urgent thing is the establishment of the various commissions, the organization of statutory activities and the participation of the national team in continental or even world competitions. It should be noted that before the election, the delegates unanimously validated the various reports, in particular moral, activity and financial.
