Kladno – Třinec 1:2, Steelers turned the battle in Kladno, Chmielewski decided

Třinec started without its most productive defender Marinčin. In the beginning, it was played without many chances. Mazanec dealt with Indrák’s penetration and Bow also reliably covered the Steelers’ attempts. In the 12th minute, when Zahradníček was sent off, Plekanec charged Kubík on the right circle, who hit the side structure. With the full number of players on the ice, Klepiš had another chance, but the puck was poked out by the returning Adamek.

Třinec had the biggest chance in the opening part when Melk was sent off, when after pressure he got to the puck on the left side of Růžička, but Bowa didn’t shoot. At 4:28 p.m., the Knights were rejoicing in the continuing weakening of their lead. Filip poked the puck out to Douder on the defensive blue line, in an outnumbering, he freed Klepiš, who opened the scoring. Immediately, Beran fired dangerously from the left circle.

Right at the start of the second part, Plekanec got away, but his backhand finish was not successful. On the other side, Daňo pushed in front of Bow from behind the goal, but the Knights resisted. Mazanec had to cover Bláh’s shot. In the 29th minute, the Steelers first threatened the Kladno goalkeeper, and Procházka solved the two-on-one situation individually on the counterattack, but Mazanec intervened.

For the Steelers, Hudáček threatened twice in the fast ice, who hit the post with his second attempt. In the 34th minute, Slezáné got the equalizer. Ružička found Voženielk in front of the goal, who matured on Bow with a backhand bluff. Kladno could have answered from another renumbering, but Plekanec did not succeed in the final phase, in which he chose to finish the pass instead.

At the beginning of the third part, neither Hrehorčák nor Roman overcame the Kladno goalkeeper. The Steelers then defended themselves during Jeřábek’s penalty. In the 47th minute, Mazanec dealt with Brodecki’s finish. At 49:05, Třinec turned the situation around with Klepiš’s penalty. For Bow, the puck arrived after Voženielka’s backhand attempt by Chmielewski.

Růžička could have secured the guests’ lead from a breakaway, but he did not beat Bowa. In the 52nd minute, during Zahradníček’s penalty, Plekanec hit the post. On the other hand, he missed Růžička in another good position. The Steelers defended their narrow lead.
