Me Nicolas Liyanza satisfied with the organization of the individual tournament for the detection of Leopards Judo

Kinshasa, September 28, 2022 (ACP).The National Coordinator of Judo activities, Me Nicolas Liyanza, said he was satisfied with the organization and conduct of the individual tournament for the selection of Leopards Judo, Kinshasa section, for his better enthusiasm of the population and athletes.

He praised the organizers for having prepared this tournament well, the main objective of which was to make a rational sorting in order to detect the best Judokas of Kinshasa capable of facing up to those who will be selected in the provinces.

« Mare prints can be that good. It’s a first experience who kept his promises. NOTWe wanted to come as close as possible to international standards. We called in an international expert who took the time to bring the referees up to speed. And we have started this first preliminary phase at Kinshasa level and we will continue in the provinces. It’s a good start, but there is still more to do », declared Me Nicolas Liyanza.

Nicolas Liyanza urges athletes to do a job well done

He urged the athletes to hard work and rigor in a job well done. « You will see that we have been very rigorous so that we can get used to international standards. Judo is a sport that is only practiced in Congolese conditions. We need to come as close as possible to international standards so that our athletes who are going to go abroad, can’t be disappointed », he explained.

The Leopards judo doctor, Dr. Bob Ntambwe praised the organization of this tournament by the national coordination of Judo activities for having put the athletes in the best conditions.

« First of all, I’m satisfied for the organization because it’s a first for it to be successful. And I can only thank them and good luck for the future (..). The coordination has put in place everything necessary for the care of our athletes. There were some sprains, wounds that we had to heal », he declared, before reassuring that the support, which will be continuous, must, in addition to the athletes, also concern the coaches.

The winners of each category in this individual tournament for the selection of Leopards Judo, Kinshasa section, will cross swords with those of other Provincial Leagues in the coming days.

Ange Isuni, winner of the tournament in the women’s version under 55 kilos, was happy with her victory. Ella has promised to give the best of herself for the sequel. « I have just been champion in my category of less than 55 Kilos, I am happy to have won (..). I will continue to work a lot. I will fight until the end », she rejoiced.

For his part, the international judo instructor, Me Didi Bopore said he was delighted with the fact that the work he has done has paid off at nearly 70%. “I ask the referees (seminarians) to continue to work on the small gaps and to read a lot to reach 90 or 95%, it will be better”he recommended.

After Kinshasa, it’s the turn of the provinces

After the Kinshasa stage, the individual tournament for the Leopards Judo selection will continue next Saturday and Sunday in the provincial leagues of Kongo Central, Tshopo, Equateur, Haut-Katanga and Lualaba. The winners in these Leagues will come to Kinshasa for the final phase scheduled, unless there is a last minute change, on October 8 and 9, 2022, the organizers report.

Since its establishment by Prime Minister Sama Lukonde, the national coordination of Judo activities headed by Me Nicolas Lianza, is determined to move the lines. After the epilogue of the training seminar to upgrade referees, things accelerated with the organization from September 24 to 25, 2022 at the Maman Angebi studio of the RTNC, of ​​an individual tournament for the selection of Leopards Judo in the provincial city of Kinshasa.
