The weekend was festive at Neufchatel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime)and in particular on Sunday 18 September, on the occasion of the cheese festival2022 edition.
It all started on Saturday with a magic dinner show in the village hall which brought together 80 guests.
A very nice evening that had not happened for a long time. Because it had been many years since we had organized a meal. It was also an opportunity to induct members of the brotherhoods.

The sun was in unison on this beautiful day to welcome a very large audience throughout the day. Throughout the city, there were many activities for young and old: wooden games, merry-go-rounds, archery, small horses, make-up, competitions, sleigh rides, exhibitions of art, gourmet products and old tractors.
Goats, geese, rabbits, donkeys, alpacas, ponies, pigeons, herding dogs of the MFR (But family and rural) and of course cows had invaded the museum, the church square and the Place du 11 Novembre.

The parade
The highlight of the day was of course the parade of Gilles from the north and honored this year. They were accompanied by around twenty brotherhoods who sometimes came from quite a distance, such as that of the Faisanderie of Sully-sur-Loire (Loiret) or that of the bouchoteurs of Penestin (Morbihan).

The day ended with inductions including that of the new sub-prefect of Dieppe, Pascal Vion. The long-awaited moment of the tasting of Neufchâtel cheese accompanied by cider ended this beautiful celebration pleasantly.
