After six days of activity of the National Archery Selective, at the Center for the Development of Sports Talents and High Performance (CNAR), the men’s and women’s combinations were defined in the recurve modality, which will represent Mexico in the Pan American Archery Championship. the discipline, which will take place from November 21 to 27, in Santiago, Chile.
In an interview for the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE), the president of the Mexican Archery Federation (FMTA), Santiago Avitia Hernández, shared the list of the eight selected, three starters and one reserve, in both genders , who will seek places for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
“The biggest surprise is in the men’s team, where the boys from Nuevo León scored points, along with Ángel (Alvarado) and Jesús (Flores), who already have experience; there are three young men who are shooting with them; this event serves as a warm-up, because in the end all athletes must have international contact and it is good that they begin to warm-up in this way. They can be placed within the first five places, which is where the places are distributed by teams in this championship”, detailed the federation to continue with the activities.
