Sachin Rana from Jharkhand will coach Indian junior badminton team at Haryana camp

Dhanbad, Sep 26: Sachin Rana from Jamshedpur has been appointed as the head coach of the national training camp for India’s junior badminton team which will be held at Tau Devilal Sports Complex Sector-3 Panchkula, Haryana from Sep 29 to October 13.

Badminton Association of India (BAI) General Secretary Sanjay Mishra has informed the Jharkhand Badminton Association of Sachin Rana’s national responsibility to coach the Indian team in a special camp for the World Junior Badminton Championships. 2022 that will take place in Madrid, Spain, from October 17 to 17. 30th of October.

Head Coach Sachin Rana along with three others Upendra Singh Rana (SAI Coach), Anil Kumar Nigam and Aravindam S (Tamil Nadu) would coach 18 players in the camp who were selected based on a junior selection trial held in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) from 12 to 15 August.

Star coach Sachin Rana, who has already fulfilled his responsibility as coach of the Indian team at the Junior and Senior Badminton World Championships, the Asian Championships and more than 10 overseas international tournaments in the past five years, has left his mark on Jharkhand in the country’s coaching field. .

In addition to the team, he also has the merit of having been world champion. He was the bench coach for Lakshya Sen who won the singles title at the World Junior Badminton Championships in Jakarta, Thailand in 2018.

Officials from Jharkhand Badminton Association and East Singhbhum District Association congratulated Sachin Rana and said that he is a source of pride for Jharkhand.

JBA President Deepak Verma, Secretary K Prabhakar Rao (who is also National President of Para Badminton), Deputy Secretary Ranjit Ray, East Singhbhum President Rupesh Katiyar, Saraikela-Kharsawan District President Rajesh Sahu , the treasurer, Awadhesh Kumar, have conferred Sachin.

Avinash Tiwary, the convener of the Jharkhand Badminton Official Technical Committee, said that Sachin Rana has already established his coaching ability at the national level and this assignment (national camp) will further encourage sports lovers in the state.
