During the second day of competition, the Santa Cruz athletes added triumphs and outstanding participations; as is the case of Leandro Ulloa, who became table tennis champion in the men’s singles category; and in the duo with Franco Esparza, they obtained third place. In women’s doubles, Sosa Arami and Luana Paredes won the championship, who in singles ranked second and third respectively.

As for the adapted version, Dayna Rebolledo took second place, being escorted by Gisel Ponce in third place. In men’s, Elías Hueicha fell in the round of 16.
In Taekwondo, the men and women from Santa Cruz made clear the high competitive level through the great work of Quimey Abelaz, who in the -49kg category, won the gold; while Estrella Villaroel, in the -63kg category, won a silver medal; and finally Emir Sulaiman, -55kg category, won the bronze. In Olympic lifting, Martina Miranda brought the silver medal, pending one more day of competition in men.
Regarding badminton, this Sunday in men’s and women’s singles the final is played; likewise, in men’s doubles they secured a place in the final instance; and in women’s doubles they will play for third and fourth place. In the Artistic Gymnastics by teams Santa Cruz was fifth in female and fourth in male. The final instances will take place this Sunday at the Student Club facilities.

In archery, the U15 female and male category obtained second place; in female Sub 17 Jorgelina Muñoz was in fourth place; and in male, Felipe Arias finished fifth. It should be noted that the closing ceremony of the games will take place this Sunday at the end of the remaining competitions.
