[아시아경제 영남취재본부 김용우 기자] As the judo competition was held earlier, the curtain on the national sports event was actually raised.

The judo event will start on the 21st ahead of the opening of the 103rd National Sports Festival on October 7th.

Ulsan City announced that pre-matches in five sports will be held at Munsu Gymnasium at 10 a.m. on the same day, starting with the 103rd National Sports Festival ‘Judo Competition’.

The judo competition will be held earlier than the competition period because the period overlaps with the 2022 World Judo Championships (October 6 – October 13), where qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be decided.

The pre-match consists of 5 sports, starting with judo on September 21st, fencing on September 29th, badminton on September 30th, and shooting and soccer on October 6th.

Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom will visit Munsu Gymnasium, where the judo match will be held at 9:40 am on the 21st, and check the pre-match operation status before the opening ceremony due to the competition schedule.

The 103rd National Sports Festival will be held in Ulsan, including the Sports Complex, for 7 days from October 7 to October 13, with over 30,000 athletes participating in 49 sports.
