However, the Warriors could at the same time be satisfied with having been able to retain their main strengths following the title won last June. Poole could do a (Harrison) Barnes shot. He was able to show what he was capable of when everyone was injured and the team was bad, but he fell back in the rotation when Klay came back and everyone was talking about Wiggins.
It will all depend on how they handle his contractual situation. But if he ends up feeling like they don’t want him, then yeah, he’s the most likely to go somewhere else, like Barnes did. Of course, they replaced Barnes with Durant. Maybe they’ll do the same with Poole.
While waiting to know the replacement leads concerning him, Poole seems in any case destined for exile.
A trend that was already emerging within the league a few weeks ago, and which seems more and more credible following this statement. Another name in the hot seat, Wiggins should meanwhile be retained by its leaders as far as possible:
Wiggins is more of the opposite version of Harrison Barnes, given that Barnes won rings early in his career, and he wanted to get a bigger role and become a star.
