Thomas d’Aboville, new coach of the Trégunc dojo – Trégunc

Thomas d’Aboville is the new coach of the Trégunc dojo. It compensates for the departure of Gaston Devaux, 30, who obtained a position as a decorator in the cinema and left the town, after 24 years at the dojo, including six as a coach.

At 45, Thomas d’Aboville, originally from Auray, nephew of Gérard, and brother of Louis and Julien, both judokas and champions of Brittany at the end of the 1990s, was trained at Judo club 56 by Michel Pautler. Technical executive in Maine-et-Loire, physical education and sports teacher in schools, in France and abroad, and judo teacher in various clubs, he has been back in Brittany for two years. “I seized with great pleasure this opportunity offered by the dojo of Trégunc”, underlines the judoka.

Thomas Rocuet, a teacher at the club for more than 20 years, is delighted with the arrival of Thomas d’Aboville. “It’s always positive that someone from the outside brings in new ideas, new blood, and new momentum,” he said.
