At the same time, the final event of the Clean Up Day took place as part of the Nordhausen Sports Day, a collection campaign to remove environmental pollution and plastic waste, which was initiated by the Waste Management District of Nordhausen under the motto “The world is cleaning up – the city and district of Nordhausen are helping”. Some sports clubs followed this call with their own campaigns and thus contributed to a clean environment.
