Actually, the NBA signed a contract with the LNB to broadcast on the NBA App all of the Metropolitans’ games. Why? Especially because Victor Wembanyama. This is the first time in the history that a deal like this one is signed. The NBA made this contract to introduce “Wemby” all around the world, not only in the US. Everybody across the planet, except people living in a country where the game is broadcasted by BeIn Sports or the LNB, can watch the Metropolitans play on the NBA App. The American league will also broadcast the LNB All-Star Game and the Leaders Cup. We don’t really know at the moment if the world will have access to the Betclic Elite Playoffs.
In conclusion, this is a good deal for both parts. The NBA continues its international expansion, and the LNB will have more visibility and will earn bigger revenues, something the league really need.
