It’s amazing what a difference a year can make. When Herbert Hainer ended FC Bayern’s annual general meeting at 10:42 p.m. on Saturday, there was tentative applause. As a reminder: A year earlier, a relevant part of the members present had shouted “Hainer out”, people climbed onto chairs to give speeches that they had not been allowed to give on the podium before, there was a hint of revolution in the air.
