Klay Thompson received the first ejection of his career Tuesday during his Golden State Warriors-Phoenix Suns game after an argument with Devin Booker.
It was Thompson’s first career ejection in 759 regular season and playoff games in the best basketball in the world.
Referees assigned technical fouls to Thompson and Devin Booker in the third quarter after they went chest-to-chest during a game timeout.

After the two were separated, Thompson continued to speak to an official and was subsequently ejected from the match. The Warriors shooting guard also left the court saying various things to the Suns bench and gesturing that he has NBA titles and they don’t.

After the Booker game, of course, he was consulted about it and gave some forceful words.
“The Warriors will always use the four titles they have won as an argument in any fight and with good reason. They have earned that right and the only thing left for me is to continue competing,” were some of the words of the Suns’ star shooting guard.
The Suns won the game resoundingly 134-105 and now have a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. The Warriors champions fell to 2 wins and 2 losses.
