The 2022-23 season promises to be long for the Lakers, who have already suffered their first setback last night. Side observers, it logically begins to rumble about the Californians, and a former champion has also settled accounts with a prominent figure in the franchise.
We expected it, the Lakers did not manage to beat the Warriors during the Opening Night (see you here). They certainly held a half, but the return from the locker room completely weighed down Darvin Ham’s men who lost the third quarter 32-19. After that, they chased after the score until the end, never being able to really worry the defending champion despite a Big Three who accumulated 77 points on their own.
The problem is that even if a Russell Westbrook was not unworthy during the meeting, the rest of the squad proved to be far too weak to resist the repeated attacks of Stephen Curry & co. A nasty defect that can be attributed to the work of the leaders during free agency as well as on the transfer market, and Kendrick Perkins did not fail to raise it by violently attacking the GM of the Pourpres et Ors, Rob Pelinka:
Kendrick Perkins dismantles the Lakers GM
Rob Pelinka needs to be ashamed of himself for this roster he put together doing the off-season. God Bless America!

Rob Pelinka must be ashamed of himself for this roster he built during the offseason.

The former agent of Kobe Bryant did not shine with his strokes of genius during the past summer, failing to get rid of Russell Westbrook or to sign a big name. In the end, his main recruits are Patrick Beverley and Dennis Schröder… we are far from the superstar hoped for by everyone in the City of Angels, and the fans are showing themselves to be more and more exasperated. Perk’ has also been joined by many of them in the comments:
If Juan-Tuscano Anderson is playing meaningful minutes that’s how you know your team is trash

You know your team sucks when Juan Toscano-Anderson plays big minutes
Why does Jeannie Buss keep him ? The Lakers have fallen on hard times. There is a standard of excellence for the franchise and Pelinka is not cutting it.

Why does Jeannie Buss keep it? The Lakers have had a tough time. There is a standard of excellence for the franchise and Pelinka does not meet it.
As GM of the Lakers, Rob Pelinka will inevitably have his share of responsibility in a possible failure of more Purples and Golds, in 2022-23. It wouldn’t be surprising if he left at the end of the exercise…
