In the 57-kilogram class, Momo Tamaki defeated Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Tsukasa Yoshida in the final to win her second title. Rina Tachikawa won the 48kg class and Rika Takayama won the 78kg class for the second time.
In the over-78kg class, Mayu Akiba took the top spot for the second time, while last year’s world champion Sara Asahina was eliminated in the second round of the first round due to a foul loss by both sides in Guidance 3.
