Czech judoka Lukáš Krpálek won gold at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi. In the final of the over 100 kilogram weight class he beat Jur Spijkers of the Netherlands by ippon.
The 31-year-old Krpálek was able to record his third Grand Slam title. His first two victories were in the under 100 kg weight class, in Paris in 2013 and in Tokyo in the same year.
