Jung-gu residents in Jung-gu, Seoul to hold a walking contest

Jung-gu, Seoul announced on the 26th that it will hold the Jung-gu Citizens Unison Walking Tournament on the 29th. It is the first time in three years that the residents of the ward come together for a walk.

The real walk starts at 8 am. This course starts from the National Theater of Korea Culture Madang, passes through Seokhojeong, returns to the Mokmyeoksan Tiger Restaurant (Shinyaksu badminton court), and returns to the starting point. It is a 7km section of the Namsan northern loop road and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

After the walk, a celebratory performance follows. The stage and Nanta performance of students from Practical Music High School will be held.

A lottery event will also be held to give away kimchi refrigerators, drum washing machines, bicycles, etc. to those who return to the course. The prizes are sponsored by Lotte Department Store Main Branch, Lotte Hotel Seoul, CJ CheilJedang, Seoul Namdaemun Market Co., Ltd., Bangsan Market Merchants Association, Jungbu New Central Market Merchants Association, Sindang 1, 2, 3 Dong Saemaul Geumgo, and Pyeonghwa Saemaeul Geumgo.

Experience booths with 16 themes are also operated. In addition to health-related information such as how to walk correctly, recipes for using fruits and vegetables, dementia prevention counseling, and depression tests, it also provides information necessary for life, such as business guidance for single-person households and housing rental reports.
