The Polish MMA organization KSW has announced the fight, which it graduates as the biggest in history and one of the biggest of all time in Europe. It will take place on December 17 in Gliwice, Poland, where two fighters with a rich history will face each other. Mamed Khalidov (35-8-2), who is a former KSW middleweight and light heavyweight champion. The former strongest man in the world Mariusz Pudzianowski (17-7) will stand against him.
The bout was officially announced a few hours ago at a press conference in Warsaw, Poland, where the two KSW icons met for the first time.
Both men have been instrumental in KSW’s success over the past two decades due to their popularity and performances. They too have a share in the growth and popularity of MMA throughout Europe.
Khalidov is widely regarded as one of the best fighters to never fight in the UFC. During his career, he scored two streaks where he won fourteen fights in a row. If we stick to KSW alone, he’s gone on a twenty match undefeated streak. The streak is highly regarded as one of the greatest streaks in the history of the sport. The 42-year-old has also won KSW titles in three different decades and two different weight classes.
Pudzianowski had a different path before his MMA career. He reigned over the world’s heavyweights before switching sports and making his MMA debut in 2009. Since his debut, we’ve seen his fighting skills evolve and over the years he’s defeated UFC veterans as well as the legendary Pride organization. The 45-year-old fighter is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, all by TKO/KO, the best streak of his MMA career.
