The new edition kicks off with a special Halloween night that will develop activities aimed at young people between 15 and 30 years old.
The new edition of La Noche es Joven begins this Friday with a Halloween night that will include two different activities, an open Micro and the Mysterious Santander Route, aimed at young people between 15 and 30 years old, free of charge and without the need for prior registration.
This was announced today by the Councilor for Youth, Noemí Méndez, who has encouraged the people of Santander to participate in this alternative leisure program that is renewed every year and has established itself as a reference proposal throughout Spain.
According to Méndez, ‘Jam Up’ Santander’ is an open microphone activity, which will begin at 9:00 p.m. in the Young Space, where participants can go to show their talent, with a free theme and without limitations related to clothing, props or format. The Jam comprises comedy, music, acting and writing. The works do not have to be of their own creation but, otherwise, they have to give credits to the original author.
In this Jam, as a special dedicated to Halloween, the organizers encourage the participants and the public to come dressed up, and announce that, during the event, a contest will take place in which the best costume will be chosen by popular vote.
With regard to the ‘Santander Mysterious Route’, it will have two departures from the Espacio Joven, at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and will be led by the writer and journalist Fran Renedo, who will guide attendees through a unique itinerary about haunted houses , legends and psychophonies… Among other milestones, the route will allow discovering the inexplicable events reported in the Palacio Macho, as well as the different paranormal episodes linked to houses near the bay. We will also analyze the disturbing space-time anomalies that affected Aviaco flight 502 and reveal the most surprising Santander legends.
These will be the first ingredients of the new edition of La Noche es Joven that starts this Friday 28th and will last until Saturday, December 10th.
During the following Saturdays the rest of the events will take place, starting with a Night of Nanotheatre (November 5), an avant-garde and innovative proposal in Santander and Cantabria, starring the young company “Trueba & Trueba”, who will offer a succession of pieces of very brief but intense and impressive theatre, which the public will choose in an interactive session, where the distances between the public and the actors will be broken.
