LIVE Kermiscross Ardooie: Quinten Hermans takes over, opposition gasps | Single crosses 2022

After 2 trips to the United States, the cyclocross and cyclocross riders are back at the start on home soil. Meanwhile, the rain in Ardooie has given way to the sun. Follow the Kermiscross live here with text updates.

Amongst others, they will start with the men: Laurens Sweeck, Quinten Hermans, Zdenek Stybar, Daan Soete, Emiel Verstrynge, Felipe Orts, Marcel Meisen and Jens Adams.

  1. 4 pm. Quinten Hermans shakes the tree. Hermans wants to leave his companions Orts and Laurens Sweeck behind. He speeds past the equipment post. The difference with the chasing one gets bigger, about 15 seconds to the finish. .
  2. 4 pm 07. Orts and Hermans make a hole. The Spaniard Orts and Quitnten Hermans enter the 5th lap together with a handful of seconds ahead of Laurens Sweeck who tries to close the gap. Stybar apparently pays for his effort from the previous round and drops way back. .
  3. 4 p.m. Stybar in the lead! Change up front going into round four. Zdenek Stybar leads a leading group of about 10 riders, including the Sweeck brothers. Quinten Hermans, Orts, Verstringhe, Soete and Jens Adams.; The Czech clearly did not come to ride as an extra. .
  4. 15 hours 56. At the end of the second round, four riders isolate themselves. Orts, the brothers Sweeck and Quinten Hermans try to make a hole, but the pursuers are not far. Stybar has missed the beat a bit and has to chase. .
  5. 15h55. The mud dries up. The sun and the wind ensure that the course dries up a bit and therefore becomes faster. .
  7. 15h50. Fast first round. The favorites stir in the first round. The Spaniard Orts takes the lead and Sweeck, Verstringhe, Hermans and Soete take the lead. The peloton on a ribbon. .
  8. 15 hours 48. Start in Ardooie! 59 riders have left for an hour of cruising through the Ardooise meadows. Ten rounds in total. .

  10. With the women it was Vas who left Van Anrooij behind. The sun also came through. . 3 p.m. 37.
