Mauricio Báez gives the first blow to the Bameso basketball final DN

SANTO DOMINGO, DR.- The Mauricio Báez club gave the first blow to the Bameso team by getting a victory this Monday night, 88-80, in the first game of the final series of the 46 Superior Basket Tournament of the National District, at the Palace of sports.

Mauricio used an offense divided between five players who scored over 10 points and led by national reinforcement Jonathan Araújo and team captain Gerardo Suero with 22 each, in addition to adding nine and eight rebounds, respectively.

This explosive mutual was joined by Juan Miguel Suero, who in a historic record made a triple-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists, to be his first in that category in a finalist round of the superior district basketball.

Others who contributed to the cause of the Villa Juana squad were Rayner Moquete with 15 points, after shooting 4-6 from the arc of three, and Brandone Francis linked 10 units.

The Mauritians take the lead 1-0 in the final series that is agreed to the best of a 7-4, which continues on Wednesday at 8:00 at night at the House of Don Virgilio Travieso Soto, and in a contest that is dedicated to César Cedeño and in dispute of the BanReservas Cup.

For Bameso, the North American reinforcement Trahson Burrel stood out with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists, Miguel Dicente another 14 baskets, Víctor Liz 13 plus six ball captures, Fausto Pichardo 12 and 10 points from Manuel Montero.

Mauricio had won the first half by 16 points, 50-34, with 13 points from Araújo, 11 from Gerardito and 10 from Juan Miguel. By Bameso, Miguel Dicent 11.
