Ostapenko slips down one position in the WTA rankings

Darja Semenistaja regained the honor of Latvia’s second racket, who rose 13 places and is in the 256th position, while Daniela Vismane lost four places and occupies the 269th position. Diāna Marcinkēviča retained the 307th place, Anastasija Sevastova (532nd), who took a break from tennis, lost three places.

Kamilla Barton is also in 585th place this week, Anna Ozerova has slipped 18 places lower (959th), Liga Dekmeyer has dropped one position (1171th), while Margarita Ignatieva has moved up by four places (1388th).

There have been no changes in the top ten of the WTA ranking – Polish Iga Šviontek is still the leader, Tunisian Onsa Jabert is in second place, while Estonian Anete Kontaveita is third. The fourth position is held by Spain’s first racketeer Paula Bados, the fifth is the neutral athlete Arina Sabalenka, the sixth is the American Jessica Pegula, and the seventh is the Greek Maria Sakari. Coco Goff from the USA is still eighth, Romanian Simona Halep, who finished the season, is ninth, while the top ten is completed by French athlete Caroline Garcia.

In the doubles ranking, Latvia’s second racket is Marcinkēviča, who has moved up 17 places to the 201st position. Meanwhile, the rest of the Latvian tennis players have fallen in the ranking – Vismane by five places (258th), Semenistaja by 17 positions (345th), one – Bartone (375th), Patrīcija Špaka – seven places (899th), Elza Tomase lost five places (943rd ), Dekmeyere – eight (1026), Ignatieva – six (1299), Ozerova – one (1327), but Denisa Marcinkeviča dropped four places (1485).
