Ozuna buys a team from the top basketball league

The National Superior Basketball (BSN) of Puerto Rico announced this Monday the approval of the sale of the Brujos de Guayama team to the Puerto Rican urban music performer Ozuna which will transfer the complex to the municipality of Manatí, on the north coast of the island.

“Being in charge of a Puerto Rico National Superior Basketball franchise has been one of my greatest dreams, for which we have been working for some time. I feel a lot of passion for this sport and being able to be part of this family fills me with great pride. Likewise, the BSN reported that the Guayama Warlocks franchise will now be called the Manatee Bears.

For his part, the president of the BSN, Ricardo Dalmau, welcomed the urban artist as the new manager of the team.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Ozuna to the BSN family. The commitment shown throughout this process gives us confidence in what his management will be in charge of the new Manatee Bears,” Dalmau said.

This year, the BSN of Puerto Rico will have the participation of 12 teams for the 2023 season, the Atléticos de San Germán, Cangrejeros de Santurce, Capitanes de Arecibo, Gigantes de Carolina, Grises de Humacao, Indios de Mayagüez, Leones de Ponce, Guaynabo Mets, Manatí Bears, Quebradillas Pirates and Bayamón Cowboys champions.
