Paris Basketball changes its administrative staff

Created in 2018, Paris Basketball remains a young club which continues its structuring, and which has just announced a new organization within its administrative staff.

There are changes behind the scenes at Paris Basketball. Mathias Priez, who held the position of director of operations, and who has been present at the club since its creation, has been appointed deputy general manager.

Alejandro Requena, until then director of operations at the Basketball Africa League (BAL), and who had also spent five seasons at Olympique de Marseille as head of international development, joined Paris Basketball as director of development Strategic.

A reorganization and recruitment that were “necessary”, believes Paris Basketball, given the challenges ahead and the ambitions of the Parisian club:

  • Ending its last season in style at the Halle Carpentier: Paris Basketball, which played for four seasons in the 13th arrondissement at the Halle Carpentier, will migrate to the 18th and settle in the Adidas Arena in the fall of 2023, Porte de the Chapel
  • Succeed in his first year in the European Cup and continue to increase the club’s partnerships
  • Preparing for its integration into the Adidas Arena, the only Arena built in Paris since the POPB in 1984, with the aim of hosting basketball matches offering a fan experience worthy of the finest NBA halls for the 8,000 spectators expected each match
  • Expand internationally and continue to forge links with strategic markets for the club such as Africa and North America
  • Reflect on the construction of a women’s team with the establishment of a commission chaired by Nathalie Nenon
  • Continue to develop the training project within the club, targeting the best young talents in Paris and France.

The club, which boasts the youngest administrative staff in the league, is now made up of:

  • Romane Zeli: marketing and partnerships manager
  • Violaine Morand: ticketing manager
  • Marie-Pierre Anamba: media, acquisition and influence manager
  • Simon Lenoir: hospitality manager
  • Thomas Be: administrative and financial manager
  • Jean Jacquin: event and social development project manager
  • Simon Couteux: B to C development manager

At first, Paris Basketball, stuck at 0 wins for 5 defeats, the latest against the leader Monaco at Roland-Garros, in Betclic Elite, must prove itself on the field.
