Arrival of the fifth : 1 – 12 – 14 – 5 – 11
At the dawn of the Saint-Léger des Trotteurs which will bring together sixteen competitors, aged 3, on the Caen track on the occasion of this Group I contested on the mounted trot, the traditional quinté of Friday evening took place in the Parisian cinder. This European race offered a quality field with fourteen competitors competing on the classic course of 2,700 m on the main track.
And like last year, this Charley Mills Prize honored foreign trotters who took the first three places in the fifth. Quickly well placed, Cyrano de B. (n°1) managed to beat Giant Chief (n°12), which had not set foot on a racecourse since last January 30, to the delight of its driver Franck Ouvrie: “He is a quality horse. He benefited from a clear course and his burst of speed made the difference in the final phase. »
Trained by Jarmo Niskanen, this 6-year-old gelding won his second quinté for his fifth participation.

After photography, Belker (n°14) grabbed third place, just ahead, Fawley Buissonay (n°5) whose end of race did not go unnoticed. The quinté is completed by the favorite, Fine Perle of Love (n°11) which gave the impression of a better classification halfway through the finish line. She precedes Ingo (#10) and Gamay de l’Iton (n°8).
Our Synthesis indicated the fifth in the disorder in 7 horses.
