Shared leadership and first historical victories

The competition goes into cruising speed on the first weekend with all Conferences in play. The notes of the day take us on this occasion to A Estrada, Pinto, La Bisbal, Córdoba and Gandía.

Conference A: A Estrada was a party
AA Group | AB group
A Estrada is a municipality in Pontevedra with just over 20,000 inhabitants that made its debut in the EBA League this season. Two defeats in the first two days (against the powerful Ucoga Seguros Chantada and Solgaleo Bosco Salesianos) did not prevent their fans from returning to the Pabellón Manuel Coto Ferriero on the third day. On Saturday, Construcciones Riveira Estrada faced a historic event like Hereda Ávila Auténtica El Bulevar. The Castilians dominated the match and entered the last quarter with a 7-point lead, but a 27-15 run turned the score around and certified the Galicians’ first victory in the competition. Fernando Bello, with 20 points and Samuel Pernas with 18, were the best local players.

Conference B: Pintobasket already has the first
Group BA | Grupo BB
The people of Madrid have come to the EBA League with an ambitious project. After the inaugural defeat against CB Pozuelo leaving a good impression, Pintobasket has defeated Baloncesto Torrelodones (82-70) with an excellent game by Alberto López, author of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists, for a spectacular 37 PIR . In Group BA, Doña Ramoncita La Solana also opened her record of victories in the EBA League after beating Inmobiliaria Gálvez Santa Cruz by a tight 79-78 with a decisive basket by Mario García.

Conference C: Only three teams remain unbeaten
Group C1 | Group C2
Pajarraco CB Santfeliuenc, Barça and Palmer Basket Mallorca are the only three undefeated in the Conference. CB Vic Universitat de Vic has lost that condition in La Bisbal against a spectacular Sol Gironés, who went into the break with a decisive +14. Jaume Solé and Eric Jiménez (with 17 and 16 points) were the most outstanding players. Anagán El Olivar was also unbeaten in Group C2 against an effective FC Martinenc. The Aragonese could not stop players like Pol Barbecho (16 points) or Aitor Pérez (15).

Conference D: Good start of adventure in Córdoba
DA group | DB group
The DA Group has raised the curtain with a classic like the Ecoculture Costa de Almería as leader. But the most historic victory was that of UCB Camper Eurogaza against Melilla Sport Capital Enrique Soler (80-77). The Cordovan project has made its debut in the EBA League adding its first win; yes, very worked. The 27-16 run in the third quarter, the nine triples scored and the 21 points from Valentín Burgos were decisive. The quality of two players born in 2001 should also be taken into account: Luis Rodríguez (15 points) and Antonio Bioque (13+5). In Group DB there was another historic victory: the first for PMD Aljaraque (99-79) on their return to competition against Baublock Gimnástica with Javier Rodríguez (24+6) as their best player.

Conference E: Proinbeni UPB Gandía loses unbeaten record
Grupo EA | Grupo EB

It was a complicated game for the leader of Group EB, and Sercomosa Molina confirmed their good feelings in the previous days to end Proinbeni UPB Gandía’s unbeaten run. A game decided in the third quarter, with a brutal offensive blockage from the locals and an intense defense from the Murcians who signed a partial 5-22: The best of the game was the young José Manuel Lorca, author of 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 recoveries. Servigroup Benidorm is now the only unbeaten team in the group, although with one game less.
