It’s no secret Kevin Durant isn’t afraid to get in trouble on social media. The Nets winger also gave it recently, commenting on NCAA news. Her viral tweet notably earned him the wrath of an American state he knows well.
The US football players at the University of Oklahoma certainly did not expect such a massacre before their match against Texas. With their starting quarterback on the sidelines, coach Brent Venables’ men suffered a historic thrashing for the college, losing 49-0. And the worst part is that they suffered a lot of teasing after that… Special mention to Kevin Durantwho publicly shot the tactician on social media:
KD mocks carnage between Oklahoma and Texas in NCAA
Ayo somebody tell Brent Venables to pass the joystick….this ain’t it
— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) October 8, 2022
Someone tell Brent Venables to pass the joystick to someone else… That’s not how we play
Clearly, KD suggests that the Sooners coach directed his people as if he were playing a video game, which is of course very different from reality. For that alone, the release of the 2014 MVP is quite provocative… but when you look at the teams in question, it becomes even more so.

Texas is indeed the alma mater of the superstar, who then played in… Oklahoma, at the Thunder. Given that his departure there was very stormy in 2016, since he then joined the Warriors who had just beaten them in the playoffs, tensions are still high between the two camps. Local fans immediately responded to his attack, not hesitating to pull this betrayal out of the closet and throw it in his face:
Or if he was you, go join Texas after this

Or if he’s like you, he’ll go to Texas

The performance reminded me of Kevin Durant in the playoffs lol
Six years after leaving for Golden State, the hatchet is still not buried between Kevin Durant and Oklahoma. Not sure it’s for right away either, after such a teasing tweet from the double champion.
