Embrace Marty McFly and Doc Brown inside you with these gear items in Splatoon 3 that are a direct reference to Back to the Future Part Two.

Someone working on Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 must be a huge fan of the popular 1989 film Back to the Future Part II because for the second month in a row, the game’s monthly Salmon Run award is a direct reference to the film.

Each month, a unique Grizzco gear is available that players can earn exclusively through Salmon Run mode. The September prize was the Bream-Brim, a neon-colored baseball cap that some players find too familiar – it looks very similar to the hat worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future Part II.

It certainly wasn’t a coincidence because the October Prize is like another element of the popular sequel. Players can win a Lo-Visor this month, which looks just like the chrome sunglasses worn by “Doc” Emmett Brown.

As you can see, these in-game items look just like their cinematic counterparts. The similarity is so close that we cannot imagine it was an accident or a coincidence; It appears to be a direct reference to the famous 1980s movie.

Will this trend continue at next month’s Salmon Run? There are a number of popular Back to the Future Part 2 movies that can be mentioned in an item of equipment in the game, such as lace-up shoes or a jacket that dries automatically. They can be easily integrated into Splatoon 3 as Salmon Run exclusive gear items.

Whether or not there are additional in-game rewards that are a throwback to this movie, it’s a lot of fun to see these referenced items. There will likely be more films that will be referenced in the future in the coming months.

To get Los-Visor in your game, you have the entire month of October to play and earn Salmon Run. If you need help, take a look Guide for Splatoon 3 Salmon Run to start with.
