The typical L1 team – 12th day – Football

Exceptional Clermont, the Brestois Romain Del Castillo is elected player of the day. The Parisians Mbapp and Messi as well as the Lensois Samba, Danso and Fofana also distinguished themselves this weekend and appear in the 12th edition of the typical Maxifoot team.

Del Castillo was exceptional Clermont.

As in past seasons, after each day of the championship, Maxifoot composes its standard team. The best “eleven” and seven substitutes are chosen according to their performance. Holders get three points, substitutes get one point.

Substitutes:

12. Alban Lafont (Nantes)
13. Facundo Medina (Lens)
14. Castello Lukeba (Lyon)
15. Fabian Ruiz (Paris-SG)
16. Stephane Diarra (Lorient)
17. Nicolas Pepe (Nice)
18. Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)

And details:

Player of the day: Romain Del Castillo (Brest)

The Brest winger was exceptional Clermont. Author of the opener from the penalty spot, the former Rennes player delighted his partners. A bright cross for Honorat on the second goal but above all a pass from the outside of the foot quite incredible for Le Douaron on the third achievement, the Breton was sensational.

Brice Samba (Lens)

Well helped by Danso, the Lensois goalkeeper made several important saves including a reflex save in front of Mbemba to prevent OM from taking the lead. Here is one who would not be too much in the French team with Maignan’s injury…

Hamari Traor (Rennes)

A good game from the Breton captain. Solid in his lane, he brought danger several times on his breakthroughs in the first period with two golden balls for Gouiri and Terrier. He is close to scoring with a header from a corner after the break.

Kevin Danso (Lens)

The Austrian central defender was monstrous. Jostled by Sanchez, the Lensois ended up winning his very muscular duel with the Marseille striker. A real ball of power, the number 4 of Lens gave of his person to repel almost all the opposing offensives in his sector. He confirmed his position among the best players in the championship his position.

Andrei Girotto (Nantes)

If Laborde had such a difficult match, it’s also because the striker had to deal with a hell of a client! The central defender of Nantes was imperial in his duels against Niois. He is also the author of a superb tackle on Pp, just to improve a high quality performance.

Nicolas Tagliafico (Lyon)

The Argentinian left-back has done a hell of a job in his lane. Little called upon defensively, he never stopped provoking to corner the Hérault bloc. A successful match for the former Ajax player, the origin of the first goal with his cross for Lacazette.

School of Photography (Lens)

Very big game from the Ivorian midfielder. Indestructible, he multiplied the races on both sides of the field to wear out the Marseillais, who had a lot of trouble stopping him. His overflowing activity was a real headache. He only missed one goal to make a perfect copy. A real leader game.

Andr Gomes (Little)

In line with his last matches, the Portuguese midfielder was able to regulate Lille’s game with class. It sounds like a detail, but his quick, clear pass to serve Angel Gomes on the final goal made the difference on this action. A real added value for Lille.

Remy Cabella (Lille)

The attacking midfielder had his best game with LOSC. Very opportunistic, he first restored the advantage to his team by following well after a strike on the post from David. After the hour mark, the playmaker showed great lucidity to go up 30 meters and equalize with a nice mid-height shot. An important goal which revives Lille perfectly.

Kylian Mbapp (Paris SG)

Mainly on the left side, the French international caused problems for Gonzalez and even opened the scoring on a serve from Messi. But in the zone of truth, the former Mongasque has long been unsuccessful in his attempts, with in particular an offering from Hakimi wasted before half-time. But decisive passer on a superb heel for Messi, he offered himself a double with a shot placed just before his exit. Two goals and an assist despite waste, remained good.

Lionel Messi (Paris SG)

Used as a striker due to Neymar’s suspension, the Parisian was actually very free in his movements. Able to come down low enough to direct the game, the Argentinian international dictated his tempo to organize his team’s offensives. Involved in the best moves of his own, he was rewarded with this decisive pass for Mbapp’s opener. And thereafter, the ex-star of FC Barcelona embodied a constant poison, the image of his ball given on the occasion of Bernat during the second act. Rewarded with a goal after superb collective action, he even provided a decisive second pass for Mbapp.
