The University of Valladolid continues to demonstrate its hegemony in territorial competitions in Castillos and León. Clara Campos and Enrique Fernández were the protagonists taking a double each.

Up to 10 university players traveled to the town of Tudela de Duero to enjoy a day of badminton, in which intense matches were played from start to finish.

Clara Campos in the women’s singles defeated her teammate Cristina Rivera in two sets in the final. Her second gold would come in the mixed doubles match with Rodrigo Velázquez, where both put together a great performance without giving up a set in the entire tournament.

For his part, Enrique Fernández would win gold in the men’s singles, in a competition that went from less to more and comfortably defeated Adrián Corrales from Madrid in the final (21-12/21-18).

The last gold with a university flavor would come from the hand of the men’s doubles of the new couple formed by Javier González and Enrique Fernández who did not give options to any of their rivals throughout the competition.

Good balance of metals to open the season of territorial competitions, where the UVa is already preparing the next one this weekend in Guadarrama (Madrid).
