Banco Sabadell will continue to give its name to the Conde de Godó Trophy until 2025

The 2023 edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell will be held from April 15 to 23

The historic Conde de Godó Trophy tennis tournament in Barcelona will continue to be called the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell until 2025, after the RCT Barcelona-1899 reached a renewal agreement with the bank, which will continue to give its name to the event as its main sponsor.

“Banco Sabadell, main sponsor of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Conde de Godó Trophy since 2008, will continue to bet on the tournament for three more editions (2023, 2024 and 2025),” the tournament announced in a statement.

In this way, the agreement reached between the bank and the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 will extend to 17 years of relationship, being the largest in the history of the event after starting in 2008.

“This agreement shows the excellent relationship between the RCTB-1899 and Banco Sabadell and allows the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell to face the 70th anniversary edition in 2023, remaining among the elite of clay court tournaments and being the great reference among the ATP 500”, added the Barcelona tournament.

The 2023 edition will be held from April 15 to 23 on the courts of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 and tickets will go on sale from November 30.

In addition, the tournament will present novelties in its image, with the incorporation of commemorative elements of the 70th anniversary and new designs that will be used in the merchandising line that will be presented later.

The president of RCTB-1899, Jordi Cambra, assured that expanding the alliance with Banco Sabadell is great news for the tournament. “It will allow us to continue with the established line of growth. After more than 14 years of relationship, both the bank and the tournament have integrated a work philosophy that goes in the same direction and that is key to staying in the elite of tournaments of land,” he said.

For his part, Josep Oliu, president of Banco Sabadell, was “identified” with the values ​​of tennis and the Barcelona tournament. “This is a tournament of national and international projection that has become a meeting point with Catalan society, clients and collaborators”, he pointed out.

The CEO of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, Xavier Pujol, also celebrated the extension of the agreement. “We want to thank Banco Sabadell for its commitment to our tournament, which this year celebrates its 70th anniversary. This renewal represents a fundamental boost to continue positioning the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell as one of the most prestigious on our circuit”, he stated.
