A rather curious event took place this Thursday in the finals of the Billie Jean King Cup World Group; in the second game of the series between Switzerland and Italy, starring Belinda Bencic and Jasmine Paolini, the Swiss athlete, challenged the decisions of the line judges up to three times in the last game, being assertive and, by the way, staying with the victory.

In the first instance, Bencic claimed a wide ball, he asked for the hawk’s eye and he was right; later, on a couple of occasions the line judges gave two of his balls long, he again turned to technology and this once again supported him, being one of these in full match point; in the end, he won 7-5 and 6-3 in one hour and 40 minutes.

In search of first place in Group A and the possibility of advancing to the semifinals of the most important tournament for nations on the planet in the women’s branch, Switzerland will face its similar from Canada this Friday.

The pinpoint precision of the gold medalist at the last Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games was recorded on video.
