College Basketball Results, Schedule, NCAA Top 25 Rankings, Today’s Games: UNC, Gonzaga in Action

It has been more than seven months since Kansas rallied back to beat North Carolina and capture the National Championship in New Orleans. Now, at last, a new college basketball season is upon us. The 2022-23 campaign kicks off across the country on Monday, with all 25 seeded teams operating day and night.

5 Baylor turned things around earlier in the day by crushing Mississippi Valley State 117-53 thanks to the contributions of 10 players. The event kicks off en masse in the evening when No. 4 Kentucky, No. 16 Villanova and No. 22 Michigan at 6:30 pm are the favorites in home games.

Games last all night, culminating in No. 8 UCLA hosting Sacramento State at 11:30 pm in what should be the first eventful night in college hoops. While there are no obvious featured matches, tonight will give us a first look at most of the national contenders.

Given that this is college basketball, and a sport that thrives amid turmoil, it also wouldn’t be surprising to see some impressive results as teams try to work things out early on.
