On November 30, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars announced that they would not sign contracts with two foreign players, Fernando Romero and Brooks Chrissky, for the 2023 season.

Romero, who came to Japan for the second year, pitched in 23 games (including 18 starting games), pitched 92.1 innings, recorded 6 wins and 8 losses, an ERA of 4.87, and struck out 54.

In his first year in Japan, Chriskey pitched in 18 games and threw 21 innings, recording 1 win, 1 loss, 4 holds, 1 save, an ERA of 2.57, and 26 strikeouts.
