Excellent weekend for the Byzantine Archers at the “6th Trofeo Città di Riccione Indoor”

Excellent weekend for Byzantine Archers at the “6th TROPHY City of Riccione Indoor” between Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November. Sixteen Giallorossi archers lined up on the shooting line of the Palasport Play Hall in Riccione who gave their best by obtaining many individual and team records as well as several podiums. Numerous participation of the youth classes with 7 Byzantines competing.

In the very young female OL category, a small but very aggressive Viola Brunelli wins the gold medal with a score of 439 (214 + 225) and sets her new personal and company record.

Personal and company record also for Nicola Barlotti, OL men’s very young category, who wins the gold medal with a score of 388 (194 + 194). To keep him company on the podium is Diego Dalla Costa, bronze medal with 290 (142 + 148) points (new personal best).

For the OL junior female category, a nice debut for the team composed of Sofia Fuschini, Beatrice Sebastiani, Nicole Morrongiello, who won the silver medal with a score of 1186 (514 + 356 + 316) setting a new company record. Sofia Fuschini also wins the individual bronze medal with a score of 514 (259 + 255).

The possibility of competing in a category other than their own, as long as it is more difficult, gave the girls of the naked bow the possibility of being able to team up and, at their debut, get a good podium.

Matelda Miolo, Angela Padovani and Concettina Palmiero win the bronze medal in the senior female AN category with a score of 1253 (465 + 457 + 331) setting another important company record.

Matelda Miolo, constantly improving, with a score of 465 (236 + 229) sets her new personal record and gets 6th place, an excellent placement in consideration of the fact that she has compared herself with older and more experienced athletes.

Another good performance of the OL men’s senior team, for the occasion formed by Thomas Tarantola, Alessandro Farinella and Luca Nardi, who wins the bronze medal with a score of 1546 (532 + 514 + 500), retouching the score obtained last week.

For the individual Marcello Tozzola wins the gold medal in the men’s OL master division with a score of 557 (275 + 282) and the bronze medal in the men’s AN master division with a score of 497 (250 + 247).

The other placings: OL men’s senior category, 7th Thomas Tarantola with 532, 9th Alessandro Farinella with 514, 11th Luca Nardi with 500 (new personal best), 14th Denis Costantini with 489; senior female OL category, 6th Concettina Palmiero with 455, 8th Giusi Torelli with 435 (new personal best); OL junior female category 5th Beatrice Sebastiani with 356, 6th Nicole Morrongiello with 316; senior female category AN 7th Angela Padovani with 457, 15th Concettina Palmiero with 331; male master category AN 4th Simone Pizzi with 487.
