With the arrival of the delegations from all over the country, the first day of the National Closing Judo Tournament begins in the town of Puerto Piray, which will last until Sunday at the Municipal Sports Center, where three competition spaces were set up.
Starting this morning, the delegations, which add up to around a thousand athletes in the AB, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 21, junior, cadets, senior Kyu novice and graduate categories, of which more than 50 represent Misiones, began the accreditations and the weighing of children A and B and Graduated Juniors.
The activity is organized by the Misionera Judo Federation together with the Municipality of Puerto Piray.
On Friday the competitions will be in children A and B and junior novice and graduate and the weighing of the cadet novice and graduate and senior categories. The official opening is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
After 15 years, a judo national is held again in the red land “it is important that Misiones can carry out this competition, we have many missionary athletes who participate and the objective is that this discipline is practiced in more municipalities, although in Piray it is not practice, the idea is that from next year it will be possible to teach classes, apart from that it means an economic and tourist movement for the area” said the president of the Judo Missionary Federation Javier Galeano.
On the other hand, during all the days of the event, there will be an artisan and gastronomic exhibition in the 9 de Julio square, where visitors will be able to purchase creations by local entrepreneurs.
